Day four part one - Namba Parks

This is Namba Parks. It's basically a shopping centre, but it was designed by Jon Jerde who is an American architect. The design is meant to resemble a valley or canyon. It's open air as well.

There is a garden at the top with a few art sculptures and a lot of plaques with handprints of famous Japanese people.

After looking at the garden, we went to a buffet restaurant for something to eat. In Japan the word for buffet is バイキング baikingu. Baikingu sounds a little like Viking so don't be surprised if a Japanese person invites you to go to a Viking restaurant. :-) They mean a buffet or all-you-can-eat.
